Which Countries Do Not Have A Remo Agreement

The updated REMO list includes 115 countries for which the specific legal framework for carrying out maintenance activities is established. These include the `EU Regulation 4/2009`, i.e. Regulation 4/2009 of the European Council on `case law, applicable law, recognition and enforcement of decisions and cooperation on support obligations`. For some countries, it is also called « Hague 2007 » – that is, the Hague Convention on the International Recovery of Family Allowances and other forms of family support. Mutual Enforcement of Support Orders (REMO) is an international agreement between countries that can help parents in the UK regain the livelihood of children when the other party lives abroad and vice versa. 101 countries have currently entered into a REMO agreement with the UK The Northern Ireland Courts and Tribunals Service handles all REMO applications between Northern Ireland and countries outside the UK. It may intervene in cases of succession and receivership and is also responsible for international child abduction disputes and the international enforcement of support orders. The latter relies on the ReMO (Reciprocal Enforcement of Maintenance Orders). I asked the REMO unit to send me the application forms they had translated into German. The official translation did not have the date of birth, the social security number and the name of my ex-husband, so it was not surprising that the authorities could not trace him! There is no excuse for factual errors that don`t even need to be translated. As a professional translator, I spent many hours re-examining and translating the original entries, and I did the work of a paid civil servant for free. Complaints and requests to managers have never been answered. Here you will find a list of countries where a UK maintenance contract can be imposed: if you have an existing maintenance contract, you can request that this order be executed in the country where the paying parent lives. REFs are agreements with participating countries and work both ways. In other words, on January 1, 2014, my ex-husband suspended all child and family allowances.

Since he lives abroad and is a national of another EU country, but we divorced in the UK, I went to a lawyer in March to ask for a REMO (Reciprocal Enforcement of Maintenance Order) case that would be brought by the authorities in the EU country where he lives.
